zeya marx (b. 1992, London UK) [they/them] is a non-binary multimedia artist, musician, cognitive scientist, and creative technologist based in Pittsburgh, PA, US. They’ve founded or co-founded several projects, including POST-VIVO, Xylantha, AI Markus, and most recently mask.in.drome; distinct bodies of multimedia work including sound, installation, performance, and video.

zeya exists liminally, between identities, genders, and nationalities, engaging and challenging an ever-changing array of social and cultural constructs. They are a process anarchist, preferring extemporaneous expressive clarity over technical completeness, perpetually exploring new mediums and tools in a quest to capture creative impulse and concept as close as possible to their source. They value accessibility and expressive directness in artistic tools, working toward inclusive futures without class barriers to art making and visual beauty. Their work celebrates, among other things: queerness, otherness, imperfection, chaos, color, representative form, psyche, digital post-psyche, synesthesia, and the natural & supernatural worlds.
